Job Description
Mechanical Engineer is one of the broadest engineering disciplines, they design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal devices, including tools, engines, machines.

The median pay for a Mechanical Engineer starts at $80,580 a year.
Analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve the problem
Design or redesign mechanical and thermal devices using analysis and computer-aided design
Develop and test prototypes of devices they design
Analyze the test results and change the design as needed
Oversee the manufacturing process for the device

Work Conditions

Mechanical engineers:
usually work regular business hours but may be required to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines
work in workshops, factories, offices and on building sites
may have to work around heavy machinery or at heights, or in noisy and dirty conditions
may have to travel between sites locally or supervise projects overseas

Three Reasons

The main reason why I would like to pursue a career in mechanical engineer is because I have a passion for designing and operating machines related to automotive. I love cars and would enjoy working with them for the rest of my life.

As silly as it sounds my passion for cars began with a movie named Fast And the Furious. Ive been a big fan and follower of the franchise and my love for the movie has influenced me in choosing mechanical engineering.

The job stability and the variety of opportunities in mechanical engineering is another reason why i feel this is the career i want to pursue for the rest of my life.
